A video sent to the YouTube channel The Paranormal Review shows the moment an unsuspecting real estate agent captured footage of Bigfoot with a drone during unrelated filming in the area of Roseville, California. The real estate agent, whose identity has been withheld due to his occupation, unintentionally filmed the creature during some practice runs over a property his employer had asked him to photograph. Obviously, he ended capturing something wholly unexpected.
The video, which runs for around nine minutes, shows a dark hominid shape walking through an area of woodland just a couple hundred yards from the house. As the drone closes in on the cryptid, the creature raises its head and stares up inquisitively.
The Paranormal Review team said they found the man who took the footage to be very believable and honest; the reactions of the creature to the presence of the drone were natural and normal behaviour for any creature. They also noted the figure was completely black which, they surmised, would rule out a person unless he (or she) had been covered from head to toe in clothing; something unlikely unless this footage was staged.
This is also not the first sighting of Bigfoot in Placer County. The BFRO database has a number of sightings from the county, mostly in the area of Auburn to the north of the main city of Roseville. The most recent encounter dated from September 2007 when a couple, their kids and a family member were in the park near Lake Arthur. One of the children became aware of something in the bushes near the group and alerted the adults. A man in the group went to investigate the noise and discovered a number of large tracks in the mud; realizing two creatures had been watching them while lying in the bushes. The group left the area but the man and his girlfriend returned and took some photos of the prints which they measured to be around eight inches in length and around one inch deep.
An earlier sighting came from the French Meadows Reservoir area from October 2003. It was the last day of fishing season and two men were fishing in the reservoir with just a few other people in the area. Jokingly, one of the men gave out a whooping call only to be shocked when his bellow received a response. This back and forth continued for around an hour. Later that evening, as they were turning in for the night, the man made the call again but was even more shocked when the response was only a few hundred yards from their campsite in an area where there were no roads or camps. He investigated with his flashlight but wasn’t able to see anything or anyone.
With the increasing non-military use of drones, it was only a matter of time before someone caught (or claims to have caught) a Bigfoot on video with one. These creatures may be adept at eluding slow moving people crashing through the brush or loud helicopters soaring overhead but they’ll have a harder time noticing (or even recognizing) a drone.
What do you think? Is this footage real or a just another “staged” sighting?
