Aquidauana’s 2024 Lobisomem Account: Scratches at the Window
An Aquidauana resident described a shaggy animal, lost chickens and scratches at his window. The September 2024 report leaves its identity open.

The marks were on the window. The explanation belonged to the man who lived behind it.
In Dayane Medina’s September 8, 2024 report for TopMídiaNews, an older resident in the Aquidauana region said he had seen a strange, shaggy, dog-like figure on his property. He called it a lobisomem.
He also described losing two dogs and the chickens in his coop, and attributed scratches on the house’s window to an animal. The story records his claim that the chickens’ blood had been taken. It provides no veterinary findings or identified tracks that establish that explanation or name a species.
The same article carries another resident’s account of lights in the sky along the road toward Camisão. That is a separate report by a different man. Its August 23 date belongs to the lights, not to the alleged werewolf encounter.
A local events promoter expressed confidence in the neighbors’ sincerity. Sincerity tells us something about a community’s trust; it does not by itself identify what passed a window or killed an animal.
What survives is a troubling domestic account: a house, an animal the resident could not fit into an ordinary category, and damage he linked to it. The exact encounter day remains unspecified. The name lobisomem is the witness’s interpretation, carrying a familiar legend into a very personal account of loss.
