The figure was shorter than the towering dogmen of many encounter stories. That did not make the shape in the headlights easier to identify.
In a February 2025 broadcast, Lon Strickler recounted an incident attributed to mid-June 2016, around one in the morning. A couple driving near Doylestown, Pennsylvania, allegedly saw an upright canine-like figure cross a bridge over Pine Run ahead of them.
The description he relayed gave a height of roughly four and a half to five feet: an arched, humanoid body, long arms and hands, a wolf-like head and dark grayish fur. The couple’s headlights reportedly illuminated the crossing from about fifty to sixty feet away.
Strickler wondered whether the reported size might suggest a juvenile. That is his speculation, not an established age or species. The available account comes through his narration rather than two separate witness interviews published alongside it.
The smaller scale gives the story a different unease from an enormous shape looming over a car. Here, the reported outline is compact enough to cross a short stretch of road, be seen in the headlights, and leave the people inside arguing with what they thought an animal should look like.
The broadcast preserves a claimed 2016 event. It does not, by itself, establish a contemporaneous 2016 publication or an identification.
