Beyond the Porch Light: Florida and Tennessee Dogman Accounts
Two accounts shared in May 2016 put an unfamiliar shape just beyond the house lights. Neither supplies a verified identification.

A porch light gives you a boundary. It does not tell you what is standing beyond it.
Southwest Florida: the wall
A May 11, 2016 repost of a Phantoms and Monsters account recalls an unnamed southwest Florida neighborhood in the early-to-mid-1980s. A woman describes dogs barking, an approaching howl and movement outside. The account later places a pony-sized dark animal beside a seven-foot cinderblock wall—and says it went over.
Other family observations appear only as the narrator relays them. The town was deliberately withheld; the account supplies no photograph or independently examined animal.
Tennessee: the fence
In a separate May 17, 2016 post, a Tennessee narrator remembers being twelve on a rural porch. Yipping became barking and a growl. After waiting, the narrator noticed a tall silhouette between trees beyond a fence: pointed ears, broad shoulders and long arms. Its lower legs were obscured. What looked like a hand reached the fence; the narrator fled inside.
No encounter year or town is given. The writer says the word dogman was learned much later.
Two accounts, not two confirmations of the same animal. What they share is the unsettling distance between a familiar doorway and a shape the witness cannot place.
