The dogs were ready to go. Then both came back.

In Dogman Encounters, episode 633, investigator Kenny Thibodeau recounts two hunters letting their Rottweilers out beside a road. The animals abruptly retreated to their cage. The men looked into the nearby bushes.

Thibodeau places the account in Lexington, Maine, in August 2016. He says a large wolf-like head appeared, then rose enough to reveal broad shoulders and long arms hanging beside an upright upper body. When the figure lowered out of sight, the hunters returned to their truck and left.

He says he asked whether they could have seen a wolf standing on its hind legs. In his telling, the men rejected that explanation because of the head and shoulders. That remains their description, relayed by an investigator rather than heard in a recorded interview with the hunters themselves.

The telling begins around 38:42 in the February 13, 2026 episode, nearly a decade after the encounter it describes.

Lexington Township is in Somerset County, according to Maine’s public-utilities directory. No precise road is given in the account. An exact pin would add certainty the story does not supply.

The fear arrives through the dogs’ retreat. Familiar companions become an alarm the men cannot immediately explain. Whether an unusual animal or a misread glimpse lay beyond those bushes, the account ends with nobody volunteering to take a closer look.
