The title still says Teen Wolf. Its returning werewolf has grown up.

Paramount’s official distribution record dates Teen Wolf: The Movie to January 26, 2023. Its premise returns Scott McCall to Beacon Hills as an adult who remains an alpha, gathering old friends and new allies against a renewed threat.

Tyler Posey returns as Scott. The catalog also names Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale and Holland Roden as Lydia Martin. Rather than introducing a completely separate pack, the film makes the return of recognizable relationships part of its invitation.

For werewolf fiction, growing older changes the useful questions. A teenage transformation can stand for a body becoming unfamiliar and a social world suddenly dangerous. An adult return asks what remains of that experience: the loyalties that survived, the people who left and the old place that still knows how to summon everyone home.

Those are possibilities built into the reunion premise, rather than a verdict on how every scene plays out. Paramount’s synopsis supplies the framework; the enduring attraction is the pack itself. A werewolf can belong to a dangerous species and still be defined by whom he comes back for.
