Cannock Chase Black Eyed Kids Surface Again

Without doubt, there’s no shortage of strange and haunting spots in England. One that regularly comes to the top of the list is Cannock Chase and precisely, continued sightings of those creepy Black Eyed Kids.

The latest sighting in this forested area near the town of Cannock has occurred this past September.

According to the Cannock Post newspaper, the witness was an outdoorsman trekking across the chase at around 2:30 pm on Thursday 10th September. Unlike most anonymously reported encounters, it’s worth noting the witness claims to be an ex-police officer.

As he walked, he noticed a butterfly fluttering around him, almost leading him. Thinking it weird, he continued to walk to a tree covered area at which point the butterfly vanished and the day turned suddenly cool.

He looked to his left and spotted a thin girl with bobbed dark hair, maybe seven years old, roughly a hundred feet away. The child had a strange look about her that the witness said was almost ‘like looking at a black and white photo’ with its head slightly bowed. While the girl didn’t seem menacing, he was still startled.

The man glanced away, and when he looked back, the girl was gone!

Thinking she was playing around, he ventured closer but could find no sign of the girl or her passage, despite his experience in law enforcement.

After returning home, he spoke to his wife about the incident. She shared her awareness of past missing children cases in the Cannock Chase, so he decided to contact the newspaper with his report.

Even though the man stated he didn’t notice whether the child in question had black eyes, his experience is just another example of strange children that appear out of nowhere and simply vanish without a trace.
