New Video Shows Yowie Spotted in Queensland

Jason Heal, a cryptozoologist from Queensland has released a video composed of a series of still shots he took showing a cryptid considered a distant relative of Bigfoot, known as a Yowie. Aboriginal mythology describes the Yowie as an intelligent and curious forest dwelling creature, living peacefully in the country.

Heal spotted the Yowie roughly 160 feet from his location and took the best still pictures he could but wasn’t able to get a good video shot. If you didn’t know better, you could easily conclude Heal captured the head and body of a gorilla. However, it’s worth pointing out that hairy primates are not native to the country.

According to Heal, he watched the creature for around five minutes until noticing it had a guest, after which it moved behind a tree. Some have pointed out the footage also appears to capture another pair of eyes in the bushes, near to the creature, possibly indicating a second Yowie was near.

After spending three years searching for the Australian Bigfoot, Heal claims to have found evidence of the creature’s existence. Notable among these, Heal said he’s found footprints, tree markings, broken bushes around the national parks of Queensland and New South Wales. Areas where there are no known primates or bears, both commonly used to explain Bigfoot and Sasquatch markings in the United States.

Heal uploaded another YouTube last year showing a mysterious Bigfoot-like creature eating an apple. While dismissed by sceptics as fake, Heal is adamant the footage, and his latest images are all genuine.
