Sightings of strange black cats roaming the UK are par for the course, but the latest encounter likens more to a werewolf than the traditional feline cryptid.
On their way to Cotswold, Robert and Nicola Ingram were driving near Croome Court, a historic property in the Worcestershire area, at around 1 am when they encountered a dark figure along the road.
The couple stopped their car to get a better look. That’s when the figure walked around their vehicle and stepped into the headlights. They realized the figure was an animal of some sort, and the frightened couple drove away quickly.
According to their report, the creature had dark fur and weighed approximately 125 pounds. It’s chest hair and body shape, to be too big for a fox or a dog, raises the possibility it may have been a werewolf, rather than a cat species.
Whether this is a werewolf in Croome Court, Worcestershire does have an unusual number of recorded sightings of mysterious black feline creatures, including one from the Welland area last August. Many locals believe the creature is a panther, escaped from a zoo, although no animals have been reported missing. Other experts suggest the creature may be a leopard because it would have a better chance surviving in the unfamiliar habitat of the UK.
