Hunting Hoax Or Was Bigfoot Caught On A Trail Cam?

It seems anyone whose hunted or fished for any length of time picks up a story or two about something spooky they’ve seen or heard or in the woods. You know the stories, they’re best told around campfires to either help pass the time or, in some cases, to scare the crap out of kids. Occasionally, the really juicy stories get passed down through the generations from fathers to sons and so on; developing new twists and embellishments depending on the orator’s personal flavor. As much as we love these stories, we often don’t place much credence in them beyond entertainment because, to be honest, there’s just no proof. However, in the case we’re about to share with you, there is.

The hunter in this video (his name has been left out intentionally) has his own story to tell, claiming something strange happened out on the game trail. Often the case with Bigfoot-like sightings, it started with a weird feeling, as if he was being watched. Uneasy, he spoke with his companions back at their base camp and they decided to put up a motion activated trail camera. Highly popular in outdoor circles, these cameras are used to identify which types of game frequent a trail and how often so it wouldn’t be uncommon for the group to have one. Whenever an animal gets within range of the camera’s motion sensor, a photograph or a series of photographs are taken. However, not quite your normal garden variety of game, what their camera caught chilled them to the bone.

The images are a bit fuzzy and dark; nine frames in total. You can clearly see the trees in the background and one smaller tree with a longer limb stretched out from right to left in the picture. Suddenly, some sort of creature appears on the left hand side, turns and disappears just as quickly. The hunter who posted this video said he has no idea what it is. He suspected it might be a bear but the dark image of what appears to be a hominid tells otherwise. Also, the creature’s motion was too fluid to support the theory of a bear. Is this just another elaborate hoax or is it possible these hunters actually filmed a cryptid?  After all these years of evasion, was Bigfoot caught on a trail cam or was it maybe something else? If the circumstances were different one might consider a werewolf but given the scenario they’d probably be dead or reported missing if it was.

It suffices to say, whatever that trail camera caught in those nine frames is left up to speculation. Was it really Bigfoot or a werewolf that inadvertently stumbled into the camera’s sensor range? Maybe. Could it just as easily be a man out in the woods playing a fooling prank to scare his comrades (risking getting shot in the process)? Absolutely.

Whatever the case me be, there’s a great campfire story in the making with the darkened images caught that day. As the generations pass that story down, exaggerations are sure to be added, as with any story. As for us, we have to make up our own minds about what to believe and what to pass off as a hoax.
