This fact makes recent news out of Argentina even more fascinating for cryptid enthusiasts.
According to media reports, which all seem to stem from the YouTube video above, several residents of a small Argentinian village have spotted an unusual creature, and their descriptions sound very similar to the Mothman. Qulino, Argentina, is home to only 5,000 people, and even members of their local police and fire department have witnessed some of the sightings.
Firefighter Carlos Sanchez and an unnamed police officer reportedly had an encounter with the Mothman, verifying the cryptid is currently enjoying some time outside the States. At first, Sanchez said he saw a strange figure wearing a dark hood. Suspecting the character in question could be a thief, Sanchez and the officer followed the potential criminal.
Instead, what they saw was terrifying!
After a few minutes of pursuing the suspect, they ended up face to face with a humanoid-type cryptid. Mere moments later, the Mothman spread its wings and disappeared into the night sky. The sighting sent the Qulino police force into high alert.
Fortunately, a photograph of the creature, shown as the cover image in the YouTube video above, was taken and submitted by a local resident.
While we joke about the Mothman vacationing in Argentina, the real concern is whether the Mothman’s presence in the country foretells of upcoming devastation. The most important questions are how long will the Mothman stay in Argentina and is there any significant meaning to the visit?
